IndieBible2012 Indie Bible

An impressive collections of radio stations, places to get your CD reviewed, music distributors and articles on marking all geared towards the indie musician.

They also have the Indie Venue Bible, by area of the US and Canada, a comprehensive list of venues sorted by area and musical genre.  (I booked two west coast tours using these books!) These are mostly sold as e-books and the info is also avaailable on their online database you can pay to have access to or get free access if you buy the bundle.

100208_indie_1 The Indie Band Survival Guide

This is a few years old (2008, please ignore the few mentions of myspace) but still a very useful book on DYI marketing techniques, band websites and online presence, getting radio play, blogs, growing your network, distribution and more. Written by two indie musicians from their 10 years experience of recording, marketing and touring.
