Why am I releasing this album by donation/ free wi

Why am I releasing this album by donation/ free with email sign up? First, I found out the hard way that Mailchimp deletes your mailing list if you don’t send out an email for a few years. (Ak!) So along the way I lost a chunk of my mailing list that I worked so hard to build all those years. I had a partial back-up of it, but I am hoping to rebuild it. If you were on it and are not anymore, or if you want to follow along with (very) occasional emails from me about my various musical projects, download the album via Bandcamp and enter your email there (OR sign up at brindl (dot) com). Email still seems to be the best way to really keep in touch with anyone more personally than social media.

Second reason — I love having a way for everyone to be able to access my music no matter what their financial ability. There were many periods in my life I just didn’t have the $10 or $20 to support someone’s music but still wanted to hear it and be part of their music world. That is why I love the by donation model at Bandcmap. My ultimate goal is as always to share the healing and joy that music can bring. It is a gift to me that the music is listened to and appreciated. donations are appreciated too if anyone is do inclined 🙏🌈. Listen to it, Share it, pass it along, that’s what it’s about.

Out today! Brindl - Live at Dance Palace. These songs were recorded back in 2014 at a special solo acoustic show out in West Marin, CA at a cool, old church space. I have always loved the versions of these songs this particular night: raw, energized, the echo and the acoustics of the church making everything seem more magical. So I decided it would be fun to remix the audio and release it as a free/ by donation album. The recordings are a bit lo-fi, taken from a boom mic that I used with my video camera back in those days to record shows. The 7 songs are a mix of live versions of tracks from the “Love It Up” album (2014) as well as a few originals that are still yet to be released. I will be releasing the videos from this night on my Youtube channel (feel free to follow along there if you are so inclined.)

The album is available by donation on Bandcamp. (or free with email signup.) Please feel free to put in “$0” and enjoy the music! It can be your gift to me that you listen and appreciate.
